
Pawpaw is part of the melon family. A Papaw is sweet and cooling to the body,high in beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, magnesium and potassium. Papain is an enzyme that is so powerful in breaking down proteins within our system. This enzyme is in larger quantities in green papaws then ripe ones. Both green and ripe can be used raw to improve digestion. This fruit is a digestive aid and tonifies the stomach. It has anti-inflammatory, emmenagogic and antiparasitic.
